Ted McGreevy: Bass
Ted McGreevy is a native of Cumberland. He was born on Groundhog Day (2/2), 1962. Having grown up idolizing bands the likes of The Beatles, Yes, Jethro Tull, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and the Grateful Dead, Ted has always been passionate about music.
His first chance to play came at the age of 14, when he was asked to play bass with a group of his classmates. Since then, he has been honing his skills in bands such as Graffiti, Carl Baer and The Sounds of Country, The Toy Factory, and The Johnsons to name a few. Additionally, he has played in "pit bands" for community theatre productions of "Cabaret", "Godspell", McNeil's Rangers", and "Saturday Night Live".
Recently, Ted has been perfoming solo, playing acoustic guitar and singing some of his favorite tunes under the long-held nickname of "Grateful Ted". He has also been playing bass with "The Fighting Hellfish Blues Band" for the past several years.
Playing in "One-Eyed Jack" has given Ted the opportunity to play some tunes he's never done. He says he is excited to be part of a group with so much positive energy surrounding it. He is looking forward to getting out and playing with his new friends and bandmates, all of whom he feels are "great guys and talented musicians".
